      Podcast interview!

If anyone is interested, the interview I did with Robert Kibbe of The MuscleCar Place came out today. I doubt everyone (my family) would agree that I'm such a great guy, but he said some very nice things...

      The LS conversion begins

Well, so much for the aluminum heads, roller cam, carb and distributor for the big block. We started doing the math and just decided to jump into the LS world. So, We put the 454 up for sale and ended up selling it complete with the Vintage Air front runner system. After that we called Travis (daytonayellaz) to see what was available. Bottom line is we now have a 2008 L92 from an Escalade and a LS3 intake to go with it. As of right now the plan will be a Mast Motorsports cam, valve springs, harness, ECM and oil pan. Beyond that we will be finding decent headers and adapting the Viper T-56 to work with the combo. Here's the latest pictures:

454 out and beginning the crate.

It's been brought to my attention that I haven't posted any updates in a while. As we work on gathering parts and cleaning up the LS we have been trying to complete a few small things that were on our list for the winter. One is installing the DSE rear swaybar that we never got around to last season and the other is removing our speaker kick panels and going back to stock ones.

Turns out the reason for our poor OUSCI performance wasn't my lack of driving skill or horsepower, but the additional weight of the speaker kick panels!

We won a gift certificate (door prize) for DSE stuff from Motorstate and put it toward the swaybar last year.

OK, it may not big a huge deal to some, but around the Farrington household we feel like Rock Stars right now! I know it has nothing to do with our build thread, but here's our page (43) in the March issue of Popular Hot Rodding.

And if that wasn't enough, they even put us on the "contents" page!
