      New guy with old pickup

Hello from Northern Nevada. I haven't been involved in the car hobby for many years, but did manage to hang on to my high school hot rod, a 1957 F100 (yeah, the unpopular one). It's just a pile of parts right now, but at one time I had it built into a pretty hot 4x4 with a 389 GTO engine. It was lots of fun but it broke a lot!

I stumbled across some pretty cool lowered 57-60 f100s while surfing the net lately, and am now considering turning it into a serious pro touring pickup instead. Four wheel drive is really an asset in snow country, but the look of a dropped truck with the right stance is hard to beat. I am currently fixing rust issues under the cab, so the project is underway (slowly, but at least it's started). Either way I decide to build this thing, this site looks to have a ton of useful info. Some of the builds are unbelievable!
