      Wow fianally found a converter

Finally found a converter for my variable pitch turbo 400, WOOHOO. Had this trans since 1986, tried to save for a Nunzi converter but they went under I guess. So been looking ever since.
Gotta get trans apart and see if sitting has damaged anything.
Think of it, a converter that has 2 stall speeds! Tight for mileage and loose (high stall) for performance!
Now if built 400 didnt get hurt sitting also. May need a trip to Bowler soon!

PAE and trishield both make switch pitch converters. Check them out!

I have two complete switch pitch setups for TH400s.

One has a Pro-Torque 3000 converter, the other is a PAE 4000 setup.

The PAE setup is $450 and the Pro-Torque setup I would sell for $300.

Hey on the pro-torque , is that a 3000 stall on the high stall or low stall?
4086d9 do you have a link to trishield?
The converter i am looking at is basically a stock one, stock would be in 1200-1400 low and 2800 to 3200 on the high depending on the torque production involved.

How do you switch them, do they make one for the 700r4?

I highly reccommend PAE (www.paeenterprises.com) for the switch pitch stuff. Really nice and knowledgeable owner, a great product and they have been around forever. I had one of their SP400's built for 800+ HP and a 1400/4000RPM converter. I activated the high stall with the brake pedal/lights. More fun then an auto car has a right to be !
