      My 69 Camaro Rocks

Hi, thanks for looking in on my restification. I'm merging the old with the new like 4 wheel disc brakes, rack & pinion steering, LS1 fuel injection with Luanati cam, Comp push rods and valve springs. 4L60 E auto with 2800 TCI converter and a Transgo shift kit. A Moser 12 bolt with 373's. All metal work has been performed by Mike Riggs of Mike's Custom Cars, He does a great job and is very meticulous.

69 Camaro w/LS1. Start date April 2002, completion date June 2013. But it will be well worth it!

Could you show a pic of the Steeroids kit from the front of the car. I was wondering how much lower than the crossmember it hung down.

Welcome to the site, nice ride! Maybe consider some tubular upper control arms for the future.

The rack and pinion is pretty much the same level. If you look at the pick, the one under the car, up through the tunnel, you'll see there it is about the same level as the crossmember.

I did not catch that. Thanks. Also in that picture you can really appreciate the level of work you went into. Looks great. I was a little worried about the Steeroid kit. I was thinking about doing an entire Martz from chassis. Mine sits pretty low and I was worried the rack would tag something in the road if I stayed with the orginal subframe.

Jake, I'll get an actual measurement for you and get back to you. By the way I first found the Steeroids via the Pro-Touring site.

Thank you David. How has the 10 bolt worked out for you? Is it a first gen 10 bolt? I'm considering rebuilding mine with new axels and everything and running 373's.

Tony, thank you. Mini tubs would have been nice....but as you know you have to plan and stick to that plan somewhat or things can get out of control. For what I'll be doing, Nitto 255/45/17's will be more than suffient. Sorry can't answer you on the blue paint since it was a custom mix.

Steve, Your car is very nice! Lots of detail also. Don't worry you will surely be first. I'm a while from completion.

Hey Vince, Most of the sheet metal is from DII and some Goodmark. As always nothing ever bolts right up. One qrt. had to have some metal work and the fenders (Goodmark) needed cutting and adding in 3 places. The inner passenger side door had to be separated from the skin, material removed, and door panel adjusted to allow for good gaps. Again, enough can't be said about Mike Riggs @ Mike's Custom Cars, making sure the gaps were great.

Mike I saw the color on your car its a beautiful color. As far as the sheet metal you could give mike the worst reproduction fender and when he was done with it you'll think it NOS
