LED tails installed, now lights don't work!

      Hi Folks-
I just installed a pair of Shiny Hiney tails in my 70 chevelle. Everything functioned prior to me touching it (typical). I hooked up black to brown and red to yellow/green, now my tails do not work. Front lights work fine. Ideas? Thanks!

it looks like the mount for the housing doubles as the ground...double check that it's a GOOD ground, or just run it to bare metal elsewhere.

I grounded the stud with a jumper and no result -- i emailed Wade, we'll see what he thinks. Thanks for your help!

      Bulbs are in backwards

How many forums are you going to post the same question to?

As many as it takes to get the answer. There are no bulbs to put in backwards.

diodes HAVE to be wired to the correct polarity, as opposed to an actual bulb which can go either way.....do you have 12v to the brown wire?

when i installed my led tails, i ended up having to change the input on the no load flashers where they plug into the fuse block to get everything to work properly. my regular tails worked great prior to installing the led's as well. now everything works like it should...

Absolutely correct. A diode (which includes the LED) is a one way street for electricity. From the OP's post I would agree that it's wired backwards.

If you're positive the polarity is correct, have you measured the voltage between the positive wire and the ground you're using?

I have confirmed the correct wiring with Wade @ SH. I will be checking the ground and installing the electronic flasher tomorrow, I'll check back in. Thanks!
