Choosing a LSX.... Help Please!!

Here's the deal....my salvage yard buddy will probably come very close to just giving me the motor and make his money back parting the rest of the vehicle. Im sure he is not going to buy me a Z06 to pull the motor from, but probably just about anything else. So I want to get the next best thing, maybe something I can later upgrade to the Z06 specs or maybe even better???

I have one shot to basically get a free motor, I want to choose wisely



So for you who actually know something about these motors.....Help me choose please!!
