It's got a small place on the roof where some MORON put a CB ant years ago and after it was painted it showed it's ugly self and then it got a scratch right by the gas cap . He don't want to repaint the whole car and wants something different ( no rally stripes) Thanks for the compliment though

I have some limited software, but Mad Skills, here is an amateurish attempt at blacking out the tail.

Do it! I think the blacked out tail panel always looks good... especially on light colored cars.

I think if you're going to do a black rear panel that you need to black out the entire rear, including the faces of the quarter panel and trunk lid that face the back. Oh, and black out the bezels too. Like so:

I looked at this again this morning and it occurred to me that it didn't quite look right, so I tried a couple things and came up with the idea of painting an insert in the spoiler too:

Here's a quicky on the stripe idea. First in orange, then in satin black/charcoal for another take on the idea:

Maybe it's just me but I think it's too much black. I like the factory black-out look better and I really don't like the taillight trim blacked out. JMO
As far as the stripe goes, I'm kinda liking the matte black version best.
      Beautiful car though.

Ok here is my take. I had a 69 camaro so I have done lots and lots of thinking to make it look better, prior to selling her to buy my house (still bitching at the wife for that one after all these years )

I like the blacked out rear panel. Like the first photoshop poster did. The blacked out bezels and spoiler seem too much black. Now it looks like the car wasnt finished being painted or something.

This 67 is beautiful. Absolutely perfect stance and wheel/tire combo. I am really digging it. That being said, the stripe idea is a very good one. One that I am actually going to do on my 85 Monte SS. But dont paint the top of the car. The roof shouldnt have a stripe on it. It looks stupid IN MY OPINION. I know my opinion is like a belly button. And everyone has one and everyone picks on it too. lol.

I love the stripe on the hood, and the trunk. That looks beautiful. Maybe the stripe continuing down the front of the grille all the way to the front air dam? I would have to see it photoshopped before I say yeah or neah to the idea though.

Also, maybe a deep silver/grey colored stripe? Charcoal Grey from an 07 BMW? Would look subtle but not too loud and boisterous. But if you are looking for SCREAM, then the blue or orange would be a good choice. I like more of a subtle but different look. But this is not my car and like I said, just my opinion. But I figured I would throw those options out there incase you were just throwing idea's around in your head, I would fill your head with MORE decisions. LOL I am sure you are ready to kill me now. I hate making MAJOR decisions especially when it comes to paint. Its make or break. Unless you work at a body shop or know a body guy where you can just keep sanding and painting.

For me? I would have to pay the 4-5 grand for paint and even if it looked like balls, I would have to keep it as I dont have another 5 grand for paint.

      :(

Best wishes on whatever you decide though. Some good work by some posters here on photoshop. I always love to see guys do off the wall things
