      RTTH6 Dates Will they change?

While I was at RTTH5, Bill talked about changing the dates for RTTH6. I know it is a long way off, but I was wondering if they were going to change??

I will help Bill out here on this one as he is probobly buisy as H*ll getting ready for his up coming events.

If anyone ever wants to find out when this event is, It's Normally held on the same dates as the "Fall Grand Run"..

** BUT Bill has mentioned possibly changing the dates just slightly to avoid all the crazy traffic during that weekend. I personally would choose the weekend either Before Sept 1st. OR the weekend After sept 19th..

I'm sure Bill will chime in when he's got a spare minute..

FWIW-- I would prefer later. It would be a bit cooler and hopefully more favorable weather conditions.

      date

I am ALL in favor of after the Grand Rod Run.. While it was nice to see so many cars, I only needed to do it once. It took us 3 hours one night to get back from Gatlinburg and that was only the last 4 miles. Since we dont really do anything in conjunction with the rod run, I am all for the move. Im with Patrick on the after and cooler.

Here is the trouble I have ran into. If we move it later, it can only be one week later. The stadium is taken two weeks later and then they start setting up for the winter light deal......
Probably because of a prior engagement for me next year it will stay the same weekend as the grand one more year. Should know the final decision in a couple days.

      RTTHs6 will be Sept. 17-19th.
I could not move the dates this coming year due to conflict at the stadium the next weekend.
      Thanks Guys.

I want to come, don't know if I can. I may have to cover GG in Joliet. It conflicts with that date.

Yes, there should be rooms at Main Stay ready to rent.
Sorry to hear that Mr. McG, but I understand. We will change the date for 2011. The stadium had a conflict for 2010.

My Camaro buddies from work plan on attending again this year. I think one will actually end up participating with his Camaro, as opposed to just watching. The event again falls on our normal Friday-off here at work, and they have asked if I planned on joining them.
I was the only non-muscle car at RTTH V, and was wondering if I would even be welcome back?
I enjoyed the opportunity to be an underdog, sort of like a David vs. Goliath. I watched the in car videos from several competitors, compared them to mine, and I was being beaten on the start to the braking point where you had to make the first right by 2 seconds! It was the turns where I made up time, and I think my best run was beat by 6 or 7 cars.
I will understand if the general consensus is that I should stick with my own crowd though.
      Thanks.....

It was good to see the Mazda RX-8 out there.
I love to compare the modern imports ( and domestics ) to the modified muscle-cars .
