    Thought I'd intro myself

Hey guys! Just a quick intro and then I'm going to start soaking up some info.

I'm building a 1966 Dodge Dart GT. I've had the car since I was 15 (32 now) and have been seriously building it for the last 5 years. I registered here about 2 or 3 years ago but that was the same time I was introduced to road racing in the SCCA. Needless to say, the Dart project was put on hold while I went wheel to wheel racing in Improved Touring with a 1st Gen RX7. In order to fund the road racing habit (and my new 15 month old crew addition) I started my own Custom Rollcage company (www.izzyscustomcages.com).

So... I've got the itch to work on the 66 again since a couple of buddies have started to finish their PT cars (67 Nova and 66 SS 396 vert). Neither one of them even had project cars, or had even considered building cars that could handle when I started my car!

As far as the details (many of which I have forgotten but have already bought the parts for): Twin T3's feeding either the current 340 (with lower comp. slugs) or a roller 360 (most likely). Modified Powerstroke intercooler, Bosche CIS fuel injection or Megasquirt (leaning towards the MS), water injection unit, Lakewood bellhousing, Tremec 5 spd, Cobra IRS 3:27 rear and Cobra 17x8 rims, AR Engineering Viper caliper kit w/ 11.75" rotors, boxed LCA's, Tubular K-frame and UCA's, mini-tub, 2x3" subframe connectors and full cage (of course! gotta be able to write it off ;) ) My plan has always had a limited budget with JY/Swap Meet/Ebay/Self fabricated parts and other than the Viper Caliper kit and the Tremec, I plan on keeping it that way.

That's it in a nutshell. Here's some pics of what I;ve been staring at the last 3 years and what I hope to end up with...
    (minus the slots of course)

Welcome, BTW your pictures didn't show up.

    I don't think your host allows cross-posting.

Yeah, I forgot about that. Seems like some months they do, some months they dont. Can't complain too much with free sites though. Guess I'll have to start moving the Darts site over to the cage site.

    Thanks for the welcome guys!
