It looks like two pallets stood up on end and are not even attached to each other. I'm sure it works but it looks a bit scary to me.
Tim's on the other hand at least looks like it's worth $300.

PT 4X4s and 2X6 look like pallets to you? What's the deck on your house look like? Wouldn't hesitate to use that rotisserie. WAY cheaper that building it your self out of steel.

Yes they look like pallets, no triangulation whatsoever. Properly designed you could build it stronger and with less wood, like Tim's. Like I said I'm sure it works though, it's not like we're building 2-post vehicle lifts out of wood. A stripped-out body shell isn't really that heavy. Originally Posted by wendell

Thanks Ron L, I used 4x4's for the uprights 2x4's for the braces, through bolted at intersections 1/2" nut and bolts and 1 5/8" steel tube and 2x2" square tube for Bumper mounts. Then to connect them I used two 2x4's. All for less than $150.00. Financially challenged collage student 17 years ago.
