That sure is a wide variety of cars.

I bet that Vette mops the floor with the rest.

I don't know that anyone "mopped the floor" with anyone.. all the cars did pretty good.

Comparing the cars to each other really isn't fair.. and it's hugely problematic.

It would be like running Penny against a bunch of nice street machines. What would it prove except that my car is dialed to the "kill" setting on the suspension.

Same here.. some cars were built as just nice street cars, some came with their suspensions set to max. Some were wonderful to drive on the street.. some killed the autocross. Few did both.

If a car with an LS engine runs a faster time than a car with a big block does that mean the suspension on the LS car is better?

This is why we don't compare the cars to each other but rather to a baseline car, in this case a 2010 SS from Anvil Auto.

wow, the ridetech car looks like it's got ZERO body roll...looked like it was on skates. Makes me think I need to play with my shocks some more.

Wait, I always need to play with my shocks some more.

That really impresses me about Super Chevy.
I haven't had a subscription to their mag in about 4 years.
I may have to get a new subscription.

DSE is doing a fairly new line of A-body suspension and that is what Kyle was showing off. Most all the cars out there made a good showing, and Mary the lucky lady got to run the wheels off all of them.

"On August 25, Super Chevy held its second annual Suspension & Handling Challenge presented by Nitto Tire at the old El Toro Marine Base and Airfield(Irvine, California). This year, 10 cars featuring parts from Classic Perofrmance Products(CPP), Total Cost Involved(TCI), ridetech, Edelbrock, The Roadster Shop, Speed Tech Performance, Detroit Speed Inc., Hotchkis Sport Suspension, Newman Car Creations, and Global West Suspension competed against each other for the best times on a skid pad, slalom, and autocross course. Nitto Tire was again the supplier of rubber and offered its new NT05 to all competitors. Watch for the full skinny on this year's event in our next issue, with a breakdown on the cars, times and driver impressions."
