      g-link bracket angle

      At what angle have you welded the lower brackets onto the rear end at? I know they give you directions on how to figure it out, but someone has done this I'm sure (Frank). I figured it is somewhere around 1 to 2 degrees down from level any suggestions comments on what you ended up with. This for a 67 camaro.

      You cannot do it by angle. You have to mock it in place, at ride height, square it, X it, center in the wheel wells, set pinion angle, and then tack weld it in place

      How do they determine the position of the brackets of the rear ends shipped directly from Alston? Just curious?

      GM spec is around 3-4 degrees on most cars. I'm sure they set it up in that range and give you enough adjustment on both sides. Mine was a moser g bar ready and it's worked out just fine.

      Cool that's what I meant, did you happen to check the angle after install before adjusting it. I mean putting the bars to the length they call for in the directions, and then adjusting from there. Did the pinion look up or down? I know I'm nit picking but I only want to do it once, and I figured they picked a number for a reason when they ship them ready for install. Killer car by the way and thanks for answering my questions.

      They give you the length to get it inthe ball park. Frank has gave you the best advice. Bolt on your wheels and get it at your ride height, then set the axle on jackstands, center the rear in both directions, use a jack on the pinion to set your pinion angle. Then tack weld and recheck your measurments.

      Yeah, there is no way your going to do this on the bench. I want the bracket verical (zero) when the rear is where it needs to be. CA installed one this way, pulled it, built a jig and now they are all perfect.

      Did you get the upper bracket jig fixture? That gets you half way there. There is no lower fixture available.
