I had enough issues with a 250hp 350 in my cutlass. 17 year old who hadn't driven anything but a pokey ford escort before + sand covering turn = OH $*## Learned throttle control pretty quick after that. Make sure you teach your kid how to drive properly in both rwd and fwd cars with more than 100hp before you set him loose.

^^^ This is true. After a few years of driving a 4 cylinder econobox, I'm relearning power. While it can be pretty fun, I feel knowing car control is not only safer for you, but for those around you as well.

Seen it done before and did it myself, although with much less destruction.

People don't realize that the rear wheels are moving at a fairly good rate of speed, catch traction or something in the road and bam!

Not to defend he dolt but it seems he lost control because of the difference in pavement. He loses control after hitting the what looks to be fresh pavement. The rest of the road looks kinda old and worn so new asphalt that may be a bit greasier would do that esspecially since he its it wiith one side of the truck. Either way the kid was lucky as all get out. Did you see how the cab collapsed because of the way it landed half on the road half hanging over the shoulder?

Agreed, watch the video and you see he lost control exactly when he hit the pavement that is new. At first I thought the pavement was wet because it looked so dark. He also kept revving his motor up and down as he was traveling down the road. Not good.
He was very lucky. Place to be doing that is a large parking lot with no obstructions.
