This is a sad video (ls1 engine death)

I have never actually seen an lsx motor self destruct but OUCH... Careful he does swear when the engine goes boom. NSFW

Heart break! The only good thing here is at least the LS1 died a glorious race track death while performing as God intended.

correction...this is what the owner of the vid posted

      "IkeF

Correct. Spun multiple rod bearings and threw several rods out. F-body pans are known to have pick-up issues. Most guys say you're good to run a quart high, but this doesn't always pan out."

I wonder if he meant that to sound as cheesy as it does.
At first I thought it was a hole in the pan due to his small off track excursion. It happened at roughly the same time.

I'm not really certain as to what that car is either. Is it an RX7?

Watch the oil gauge during the run, it is hard to see all the time, but the pressure falls off dramatically in the turns. that is why he talked about pickup issues, he needed a better (baffled, etc.) pan for track use.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

      Ouch! That's gotta hurt.
A perfectly good argument for a warning light and a low pressure shut off switch.
