      Slo-Touring: 1972 Buick Riviera

Going to look at a '72 Riv with a buddy of mine on Monday - he wants me to advise him on the purchase and then do a mild slo-touring build for him....other than always loving this body style, I know absolutely nothing about these cars (or Buicks in general.)

Can anyone recommend a good Buick forum or other info source?

Here's a couple of links for you.

I browse Team Buick mostly for the classifieds, but you might find more info that you need at either.

I love the boattails. I also think they use the same susp as the a bodies.

They are full size, so they share some components with Impalas and the like. Great cars. Go get it!

Thanks 2ndgenhunter & oestek - didn't know that, that really opens up the options for brakes/suspension.

Be careful, the brakes swap, but not much else. Maybe box the stock stuff and have springs made. (We boxed the rear arms on our '68 Riv). Don't know about sway bars. I think they take 10 bolt rear brakes, and I know the fronts are the same as full size Impalas.
