But the daily temps in the 70s sure look great after 90s here for the last few months.

I'm still looking forward to it rain or shine! In fact, a life long friend of mine is flying out from AZ to join in on the fun!

It's always good to come down and hang out with you'z guys. We were all set to go right up to 8PM last night when we checked the weather.

We lose two days in hauling down and back. And we're very busy with orders here. Twist has a good reputation for filling orders in a timely fashion. I'd like to keep it that way. So I was already nervous about stealing time. But we were coming anyway. I've been to every RTTH except the inaugural. I cherish that event.

The foul weather added a variable that put us over the edge. There will be other events. Seems like the right thing to do.

I can understand making a business decision based on rain, especially with a 2-day travel time involved. While you(and any others that decide the same)will be missed, I think I along with the others completely understand.

I may get some cramps, but i'm gonna keep my fingers and toe's crossed as long as I can while hoping for tolerable weather. I've had my eye's crossed for about 30 years, so its worked in the past.

Frank and I talked it out and a nasty storm is probably not the best way to shake out a fresh build--especially since tags aren't here yet and insurance is still getting worked out--so looks like I'll just be coming sans car on saturday.

Well i guess i will post up, truck and trailer is about 75% loaded. If there was a award for most non pro touring car, we would win it. 4.3L V6 Turbo/T56 combo.

Im not signed up for the Auto X but i think it would be a fun to see a drag only suspension going around.

      Leaving after work thursday.

I completely understand Steve. In every aspect. We decided not to bring a brand new fresh car out and break it in on rainy streets. Like Forumla said, no tags, no insurance, wet streets and 80 cars in blind corners...........I may do the dragoin in the truck if it looks ugly! But I am going up there to drink moonshine and beer anyway! Were I as far away as you, and only had one driver to drive the rig, in the rain, I would probably pass also.

We will miss you. We will send plenty of pics, especially if it is nice weather to show you what your missing. Were just good like that! LOL!

If it's real bad I may not do the dragon.. no wipers and new tires.. lol

I don't mind some rain, and what worries me more are drivers coming the other way.

I certainly don't mind autocrossing in the rain.. will make for pretty pictures.

If it's raining on Sunday is the drag just cancelled? Do we just hang out and drink instead? lol

I'm still holding out that I can bring some of my SoCal sunshine with me and we will dodge the bullets.

It is a beautiful night in Pigeon Forge right now guys, just for those wondering. We have a 40% chance of rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I expect a shower or two but feel we are in good shape. Steve, I understand your decision, it is not like you are two blocks away, but still, sorry we will not see you here. Other than drag racing, we will still do the event, rain or shine. We have cruised in the rain before, and since the autocross lot and insurance had to be prepaid, we might as well race. Several are already here tonight and we have been out cruising the strip. See everyone tomorrow or Friday, be safe coming in.

Sweet man! Glad to hear you guys are coming down.

There will probably be plenty of auto-x spots open I have a feeling so you might have to test it out.

Our goal is to head out after my son gets out of school. Should be there before midnight for sure. Really debating coming down with the truck and trailer, but there is something really cool about driving your ride to events...
