Mech fuel pump 1st gen Camaro

I'm running a Delco mech pump on my '67 Camaro. Appears it's not able to supply enough fuel through the quarter. It's a modified 350 sbc. Any suggestions on a 110 gph mech pump fitting my vehicle? It appears the Edelbrock 1721 is too big diameter-wise and depth. I'm using stock motor mounts.
      Thanks

I've used the holley mechanical pumps on my 68 Camaros wth SBC engines without an issue. Remember that you can remove the base screws and re-aim the inlet and outlets.

Holley or Carter, same pumps. Have run many of them, no problems.

The Carter is a nice part that fits the chassis very well.

How hopp'ed up is the 350?

      Carter pump on sbc 350

      CarlC:

I'm using a zz4 short block with AFR 180 alum. heads 9.8 cr comp roller cam & rockers Edelbrock air gap manifold and his AVS 650 carb. Pertronix ignition, headers x-pipe 4.11 rear 2004R trans.
Summit now has available a Carter GM5900P 120gph 1/4" in & out 5.5-6.5 psi. Do you suggest using a fuel regulator? Do you have a model # for a Carter pump? Is the Carter pump base adjustable (rotateable)?

      Thanks

I used a Holley 12-327-11 on my car. Never starved it, BUT you absoluetly have to run an external fuel pressure regulator. A wise man would run a return style.

DO NOT use Edelbrock fuel pumps, they are reboxed Airtex

I used the Carter Street Pump on a 406/Fastburn head/hydraulic roller engine. Multiple road coarse days with zero problems. I would not hesitate to run one again.

The Carter does have a clockable base. The "Street" pump does not need a regulator.
