Spectra Fuel Tank pump we a bad fuel pump
So today I did my initial start up to my LT1 swap into my Chevelle. I was not getting fuel pressure so I diagnosed it to be a bad fuel pump. The pump would spin but not pump fuel. I could not warranty the tank because I modified the tank and brazed new fittings onto the sending unit. I ended up buying a fuel pump for a 1996 Chevrolet C1500 pickup and it fit perfectly. I just wanted to confirm that there is a pump that will work with our EFI tanks.
If you get a Spectra tank, pull the sending unit out and test the pump in water to make sure it works!
