      18x8 front (4.75-4.875) b/s
      245/45 or 40-series tire

      18x9.5 rear (5.5" b/s)
      275/40 or 285/40 tire

You can also run a 10" wide rear usually w/o issues, possibly having to massage the rear seatbeat area with a BFH.

on my 70 that i used to have i ran a 18x8 24/40r18 4.5 b/s front, and 18x10 295/35r18 rear with 5.75 b/s. it was close ith the rear, maybe 3/8" to the spring. if i could have done it again i would have gone another 1/4 more b/s in the front.

the rears rubbed when i was going up the driveway at an angle over the curb. the inside of the wheel would rub the inner wheel well a little bit. the fronts were ok, i think they might have rubbed the sway bar at full lock but just barely the surface of the tire. (the marks on the sway bar were very light)
