The 19th is Saturday, we will be doing the cruise on the 18th. No doubt there will be traffic on the dragon that time of year, but hey, we will still have a great time.

It's going to be a blast (as always) no matter how much traffic is in our way!

The best thing about living here is planning the cruise.
Melinda and I will have the chore tomorrow of mapping out the cruise and dinner route. Think about us as we deal with this task, in the vette.......hahaha

Hah.... That's what you think. If you ever make it out here, I'll take you on one of my favorite roads. All it is is trees. And they're bigger here than they are over there.

OK guys I have been cruising all day working on a really cool cruise.
Only trouble is, there is not a good way to cut it a bit shorter and it works out to about a 120 mile cruise at this point, BEFORE DINNER then another 35 or so back to the hotel. I can cut it to about 90 miles, but we will have to go thru the dragon, turn around and come back the same way for about 15 miles. One bad thing about the mountains, not may ways around them. The 120 mile route is about a 4 hour run. Beautiful scenery though, and I think people will like it, just a lot of miles.
      Comments please from those coming.

It doesn't matter to me .
(My car can go 120 miles.)
But , it would be fine to drive the Dragon and then turn around and drive it in the other direction !
      That would be better.
We get to drive the Dragon twice.

The only problem I foresee, is the folks that have cars with large CID old tech engines... are there any gas stations on the dragon? If there are, 90 miles, 120, 150, makes no difference to me.

I'm sure I'll need to get gas on the way.

OK, another day of cruising today. I have it nailed down, took off about 20 miles. Here is the best thing though, we will run the dragon, both directions. We will hit 129 South, just north of the dragon, run to Deal's Gap, turn around and back through the dragon, heading North. This should give everyone a nice feel for one of the most famous twisty roads in the country. Plenty of gas stations along the trip too, so no issues there.

Is this before Keisler's stop, or does this route include Keisler's?

Yeah, this is the route TO keislers. Then 30 miles home. That is why we have to start an noon. It will be a afternoon full, not just a run to dinner.
