      New wheels on the 70

Got some CL205 wheels for the nova and thought it would be cool to show what it looked like when i got it after sitting for 24 years to now. i have been driving this car as a daily driver all year and I cant really do alote to the car as it not my main project yet so it just small steps until the camaro is done.

I know ppl love specs. i when safe on them so i could drive it.

18*7 front with 4in b/s for the drop spindles and disc brake i will be putting on.
      235/40

      rear, 18*8 5.25 b/s 255/45

let me know what you think.

Big improvement. Adding round tires is a plus too, lol.

      x2!!

Do you think you could have gotten away with 8" wide rims? Do you have pictures from front to back and back to front? I'm interested to see how the tires sit on the rims, and how the rims fill out the wheel wells.

http://www.nnnova.com/. i dont see them on the web site? i got them used from a member on a nova forum. i called nnnova and they said that you can run a 8in wheel with 4.5bs. I have heard that it may ot may not hit the wheel. ( the steering arm) so i went the safe route with the 7in wheel. and its not like you can get alote more tire in the front than a 235.

Ain't that the truth. I tried out a 245/45/18 just last week with 4.5" BS. Nope... didn't work.

      LMAO....Isnt that 26+" tall??

try a 245/40. its just a little taller then a 235 but is just a hair wider. Problem with some 235's is if the back isnt low enough and you pair it with a 275 in the rear it looks like a rubber band.

You can get away with 5" bsp(8") if your creative with the steering arms. If not its nothing a little negative camber wont take care of.

Worst fitment on a lowered nova is 7" w/4" bsp, even with a skinny wheel. nothing like stuffing your tire into the fender wheel bolt.

I have a question. you say that the 7in wheel with 4in bs will hit the inner fender bolt? it looks like i will have enough room? with the sagging springs the tire is just about at the lip and its not close at all.

      have you had this issue?

Figure lowering your car another 2". I know the 2" drop spindle lowered some but when I say low Im meaning the fender covering the tire like the rear.

and yes I had that issue with just a hair taller tire.

it looks like i will need to replace the front springs when i install the drop spindles and disc brakes. cuz the front is all stock in the pic and ya another 2in would be a problem.

Trying out the 245/40s today, wish me luck! Good thing I had some junk ones sitting around on spare rims. They measure out at 25.7"... we'll see what an inch of diameter does.

What's up with the steering arms? Do they just need to be modified, or does the tie rod hit with a 5" BS? I'm running aftermarket control arms with adjustable bump stops... and 2" drop springs...

It barley rubs it at full suspension cycle, however a nice thick SAE washer between the knuckle and the arm will fix your issue if any
