I really like Hot Rod Black.

Just a snapshot of a couple pieces we shot with DuPont Hot Rod Black.. man, I love this stuff. Perfect sheen and color, and it's not porous like some other satins / flats. Here's an ashtray and a couple interior pieces from our '69 Firebird project Routy. Hard to tell in the shot, but they look great.

That's the beauty of Hot Rod Black, it's a "non-porous" paint, with excellent UV resistance. It feels slick to the touch, not chalky or rough like others. DuPont recommends it for dashes, hood stripes, and whole cars with no fears about fading or chalking. I really dig it.
