      Headliner again

What glue have y'all used to install your headliner? I've used 3M spray on other things & I'm looking for something less messy. This is my first headliner attempt. I have it in the car held in with clips. (Guess where I got that idea?) It looks good so far. I haven't used heat yet to put the final stretch on it. Any other tips or advice would be appreciated.

If this is a bow type headliner the only glue you will need is around the edges and the 3M yellow weather strip glue in a tube is the best for this application. Heat to stretch where needed. With a small brush, apply to both sides that are going to be glued...wait for them to become almost tack free...stick them together...clamp...done.
The spray glue works great for the sail panels and I wouldn't use anything else for this application.

All you really need to use is contact cement on the edges,Also use a heat gun to warm up the headliner before stretching. You can use small clamps to hold the headliner in place.Start at the center front and back then side to side.then work out the front and back do the sides last.Trim off access and install snap on windlace or trim.
