Will somebody post a link to a full parts breakdown of the 12 bolt rear end?

06-29-2009 #3What is the part number, or name, of the first seal on the rear end? When I say first, I mean the seal that the pinion yoke goes into?
06-29-2009 #4That's the pinion seal. I don't have my part number list with me right now, but it's a comon seal that most auto parts stores should have in stock. Be careful when you install it. The old car pinion seal has been discontinued and the seal that you get now will be the truck 12 bolt seal. If you drive this seal in all the way it might contact the outer pinion bearing. I always drive it in until it's about 1/16 from bottoming out and leave it there. I also smear a thin film of RTV sealant around the inside of the housing before driving the seal in and be sure to smear some RTV into the splines of the yoke before installing it. Use red Locktite on the threads of the pinion nut.
