      Heartbreaking!!!

Last night I went out to dinner in Nort Eastern PA, on my way home I had my heart broken... While at dinner a powerfull thunderstorm moved in and were giving us tornado warnings. We finished eating and left in the middle of this f'ing storm. We got onto the interstate and within the next mile passed cars waiting out the storm on the side of the road, among them was Team Prodigy's Bull Run Chevelle. As you can imagine my heart dropped that car was entirly too nice to be in that weather. I just need to say job well done to Frank and his crew for a great looking car but feel horrible for the weather....

It's a car that they built to run in a week long rally across country - I assume that they knew that it could rain on them. It wasn't built as a trailer queen and wouldn't expect it to be treated as such.

Exactly.....I just drove to South Dakota and back and it rained on us half the time. I'm not talking about a sprinkle either. If you did a Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, California run you might have a chance. LOL

That's why I'm keeping the wipers on my car. I expect it to get rained on. I wouldn't consider it heartbreaking. I'd consider it cool that I saw the car. And I'd be glad to see it being driven.

Well hopefully there wasnt any hail mixed in to ding anything up.
I am not useless, I can still be used as a bad example!

I was psyced that I saw the car and about broke my nose when I plastered my head to the window. I know the car will get abused when it gets to the ralley but until then I think it would be nice for it to stay perfect.

We just got home to Florida a few minutes ago about 7AM, drove througyh the night. Ted and James ran to Nashville today, did 515 miles in just over 6 hours including 2 fuel stops, you do the math.

That rain in PA was some of the worst rain I have ever seen. So bad Ted and James had to stop because they could not see the end of the hood. Luck for them / us we followed the first couple legs of the event, and had just left the first check pioint. Since we had caught up at the event / check point, and with the rain we were only 3 miles back and were able to pull in behind with our truck and trailer and block them from oncoming traffic. I was very worried about them getting plowed into sitting on the side of the road from a blinded driver trying to weather the storm. So i pulled in behind and blocked for them. I figured a driver could see my big ass trailer and all its lights better then Ted's sitting duck Chevelle. Scary stuff.

We sat it out about 20 minutes and headed down the road

      Damn what a rain!

And yeah, Car is filthy to say the least! I got lots of detailing to do when I bring it home Friday.
