the best sounding engine i've ever heard was the 355 in my Nova in the Lowry tunnel on I94 in Minneapolis on my way home from the Car Craft show in 2004.. something about 7200rpm in second gear with an X pipe and Flowmasters in a tunnel...
the fact that the motor was built by me and in my car might have had something to do with my bias..

I heard Italian, German, American, and the heavenly sound of the Zonda. No ricer crap there. Just beautiful music. And the sound of a Ferrari accelerating from a stand still is just awesome.

I'm surprissed that you can't hear the Eaton on that GT at WOT. Sounds wicked rolling around that loop. The Zonda is at a whole other level though. Good 'ol MBZ power.

IMHO- the best these ears have been blessed by was a 427 SOHC through open headers. Scary.

Yes, AMG did a great job on the Zonda motors obviously

On the vid I posted, those Merc AMG V8's also sound great as usual.

Regarding the Ford GT, I also have noticed you don't hear the S/C whine. I wouldn't be surprised if Ford did that intentionally. They should have had a 427 SOHC or DOHC at their disposal, but that's another fruitless debate ...lol.

Ford left that whine in on this awesome vid...high quality audio and video. Probably my favorite factory exhaust sound.

Mustang exhast notes >. Is it the because of the ford's firing order? Or is that an urban legend?
