      adjusting rear brake bias

I recently finished my 4th gen swap for the rears and would like some input in adjusting the porportioning valve. Thanks, SS

Let me preface this with a warning, first break in your brakes with some gentle street driving and easy stops, when you test at the point of wheel lockup, be VERY careful not to overdo it, or you will flat-spot your tires! Brake smoothly don't jump on the pedal.

I like to start with too much rear brake, then turn them down until on a very hard stop the rears NEVER lock.
If you start with too much front brake, you wind up increasing the rear until they start to lock then you start turning them down, so you wind up where I start anyway.

You allways want the fronts to lock first. Stickier tires or pavement will cause more traction, more traction will increase forward weight transfer, which will require less rear brake bias. Also a near-empty gas tank will lighten the rear of the car and increase the tendency to lock a rear wheel.
