Just wondering??? 69 Falcon

Wondering what you all think about a 69 Falcon 4 dr Wagon? if it had 18" and a 460 with a 5 spd.
Just want your opinion on this.

I love wagons. A 460 in a Falcon would be a tight fit and make the frontend heavy. The 5 speed would be cool. I would have to see a visual on the wheel combo to say. It would be different but sounds like a cool project.

actually a 69 falcon is the same as a 69 torino except for the front outer sheetmetal

Well we have a custom shop www.killercustoms.ca and just wanted a little feed back before we decide if it would be somewhat accepted. i think it would be kinda cool, i'm more into the main stream. like the 69 Camaro i just picked up. but one of the guys who works here has a Falcon that is in good shape and we were discussing how to build it on somewhat of a budget for a shop car. we are currently building a 52 Studebaker with all C4 corvette running gear and a full tube chassis and air ride. thr falcon would be another DIFFERENT example.

Might be pretty damn cool... check this photochop I did. I chose TT Classics since they look good on everything, but something more edgy might really set it off.

EDIT: I did a second one where the windshield is laid back a few degrees and I chopped the top an inch or so.

Not too fond of the "tin-metal" stamped grilles on those cars but otherwise a great idea. Looks cool. Nice chop work, Bhudda

Two inch top chop........mini tub...........stroker 351.........Mustang II front suspension or Global west coil-over.........TKO600......convert to two doors........DAMN is it ever easy spending someone elses money and time!!!!!!

Yea i hear ya Kenova!!! Too Bad Rick is a tight a$$ i will be lucky to get him to step up and actually do the project but if enough guys tell him how cool it could be he might just get off his wallet. its funny it was his idea and now that you guys think it would be cool he is actually thinking about it, but i don't think he has ever spent moer that 2500.00 on a car................................... including the purchase price HaHaHaHahaha

I'm glad to do it, and I hope it is incentive for him. You could probably get most of that look and some decent performance for cheap with a good suspension rebuild using poly busings, 620 lbs. lowering springs, Shelby drop, and some reverse eye rear leafs. Get the windows tented and black out the chrome. The TT2s and tires would be the big coin.

The 69s are basicely a 66-67 Fairlane under the skin. In 1970 they became a lowend trim level of the Torino.

true but in 69 the fairlane was in fact a lower trim level of the torino. in 69 the wagons, torino, fairlane and falcon all shared a common body with only different front sheetmetal in the case of the falcon
