Cant get them to bleed right.

Ok I have a SSBC kit on the rear of my 79 Malibu. And I cant get them to bleed right. Brake fluid comes out but not at the rate that it should.

I changed the master cylinder to a late 70's vette( I did bench bleed it before I installed it). I have not put my poportioning valve on yet. No leaks that can see.

They wont bleed right and are leaving me with a mushy peddle that I have to pump up. Can anyone help?

      Tim.

Check the rod from your brake pedal to master and make sure your pedal is not holding constant pressure on the master. there should be a little free play at the top of the pedal to assure the master cylinder piston is returning completely.
