Dirttrackers use them... You can find them cheaper at speedway I think. But I've never used them...

I'm pretty wary of using those out back... the shock mounts were never designed to take the full weight of the vechicle. They are only 5/16" bolts (I think) You are asking for a problem
1971 Camaro, 383 stroker ~500HP,M21 Trans with lightened flywheel. All Sorts of Auto-x Goodness in the Suspension. 12" Brakes ->SOLD

But ask me about my 2004 STi Auto-x car...

Im guessing you never seen a camaro or nova pound a set of air shocks through the trunk floor because someone wanted that oh so cool mega rake in the 80s.. lol Ive seen a 68 maro and a 72 nova do this.

The top mount cross bar comes out leaving an eyelet like the bottom.

      Yes...

They were actually developed for the dampers used on the C4 for the Corvette Challenge Series (by Guldstrand)... and anything built by Guldstrand in the "GS" line-up... they then went mass production in late 88-89. We beat the hell out of them in the CCS. Just don't go above 775-825# with the rate without using a second nut... as it will start to roll the threads on the aluminum adjuster sleeve.

I have used several hundred of those kits. The one thing is... you have to have the shock body cut for a CerCLIP (an outside snap ring)... or purchase shocks that already have the CerCLIP groove in them.

About using them in rear applications ...> as an FYI <... the rear damper on the C4 (84-96) was single shear on the bottom... and I have used spring rates north of 350# springs on "out of the box" Bilstein's in single shear without a single issue. If the dampers come with the little steel sleeve inserts in the shock end... just push them out and take a trip to the local 4x4 shop and get some bolt on single shear mounts. They use a larger thread to mount them to the plate material and they are much larger in diameter for the shock end too.
