Shocks

I have a 73 formula & I live near a lake on a windy road. My car corners great & is also great for straight roads for a 1/4 mile rip. So my question is whats a good shock for cornering? Is there one that is adjustable so if i go to the 1/4 mile track I can adjust it.

Exiled, do a search in this forum; there is a ton of past posts on shocks. Long story short, you get what you pay for with shocks. I went with Bilsteins since my '75 is street driven. Cheers, Rick

I'd second the search, although to narrow things down for you a little, if you truly want a shock that will be both good at the drags and in corners, you'll be looking for a shock with isolated compression and rebound dampening. You'll typically find this feature starting in the midrange double adjustable shocks.

i would look into afco, from my research they have the widest range of adjustments. I have there DA T2 coilovers.

Ok, I looked through some of the archives it looks like Bilsteins are recomended more & looked on the Bilstein web site. It realy only showed 1 type for my car & it doesn't say there adjustable. Maybe they are but there was no real discription.
Anyone know a part # that fits a 73 Formula that are adjustable?

Do you have a web site for the Afco's shocks?

I looked on summit also for both Bilstein & Afco each brand just had the on part# with no choices. Am I just dreaming that there is an adjustable shock that could be used for both types of driving?
