      SPC alignment tool

I'm ready to do my alignment, and came across this tool:
      http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I'm curious if anyone has used it and how well it works. Considering how many cars I have, I thought a $200 investment (with the toe bar) would be great so I could do all my alignments at home. Not to mention there are very few true alignments shops around here, and I don't really trust the chain stores too much, especially with wanting a prformance setup to go with my car. I didn't know if this tool was just to get close, or if it could truly allow me to bypass taking it to a shop. Any input would be great. thanks alot.

      They work pretty good.
      I've got one.

Keep in mind , the tool only fits on one side at a time.
So , you align one side at a time.
Make sure to get the toe measuring adapter so you can measure toe also.

      The tool is fairly accurate.
I've done the alignment on my car several times and never had a tire wear issue..

That's great to hear. Thanks for the input. Looks like I'll be ordering one of these up.

I agree. I've had good luck with mine as well.

I have one and used it on my car.
Get the toe adapter or make your own that was where I was way off on mine.
The caster and camber were almost perfect. The shop didn't touch the drivers side just a hair of adjustment to the passenger side to dial in some cross caster to account for road crown. He was very surprised when I told him I aligned it in my garage!

I'm thinking to get one also bec. Last alignment I had it done, I was like close to $200 poorer and waited long time. Most shops dont even do to our specks but stock alignment only.
I have smooth lip wheels I wonder it would work with that? Can we use the tire instead of the wheel to use it as long as tires have same pressure on them?

I think there are adapters so you can clip the tool to the outside of the rim instead of the inside.
You can't rely on the tires .
They bulge out at the bottom.
Plus you really need to attach the tool to the wheel for accuracy.
