      wont stay charged

      i just bought a new battery and alternator for my 69 and when i turn the car off and come back a littlle later it will be almost dead! i checked all my grounds and their good, and nothing else is still left on, another thing is if i try and connect my tach the car wants to stall! whats going on? i do have a voltage regulator, do u think thats bad? thanks-dom

      you need to get a multimeter (i have 4 From harbor freight stashed in all my cars just in case 1.99ea)

      that will help explane it
      however you can also use the battery voltage tester setting that most multi meters have
      red lead will have to be on the 10 or 15 amp plug not the one you use for checking normal voltage
