      LS1 Radiator hoses with pics

There have been many posts as to which radiator hoses are needed for the LSx engine and 1st gen f bodies. I thought I would post some pics and part numbers for the hoses I used:

I have the PRC radiator that is a double pass type with the upper nipple being 1 1/4" and the lower nipple being 1 1/2" both on the passenger side of the radiator

This is the upper hose I used. It is a part that I cut out of Gates Part Number 22358

The bottom hose is Gates Part Number 20450. I didn't have to modify it at all

      I hope this helps.

Sam, thanks! That upper hose looks promising. Any chance you could measure the offset from the waterpump to the radiator in the hose? (how far does it "jog" to the side?)

Here is a picture, I hope this is what your looking for. The distance measures about 9 inches, the angle of the camera makes it look longer.

      Hope this helps,

Vince, I don't remember the part #, but you can call Performance Rod and Custom and tell them your application and they will have the right radiator. Mine is a double pass radiator with inlet and outlet on the passenger side for 1st gen f-body, or call Frank @ Prodigy Customs, I think he is a dealer for them.

Has anyone figured out a stock hose that will work with a standard radiator and LSX?

One thing that may help someone, the lower hose suggested here is nowhere in stock locally probably because its listed for a '59 Studebaker. I went to local Autozone and picked out a hose that worked
