      New to board.

O.K. I've been a member for awhile, but I think this is one of my first posts. I finally picked up a project that I think will be good for a pro-touring setup and I'm looking for advice on the best way to do that.

O.K. It's an 88 Firebird that cost me absolutely nothing. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it, but it was having some bad electrical problems, so my friend and I decided "let's strip it and start from scratch." Yesterday we spent the day pulling the engine and transmission out. Next it will be time to strip everything from the firewall forward.

I'm thinking an LS based engine with a T56. Tubular K-Member and A-Arms, Coil Overs front and rear. 17" x 8" up front, 19 x 10 out back. Trans Am body work. Modern T/A interior (black). Color will probably be Victory Red, but I also like "Go ManGo" (even if it's a Dodge color).

All of the work will be done by me and a friend. I'm hoping to have it done in 5 years time.

      As I got it:

Welcome, and thanks for posting pics, we all like those. Though it would help if you reduced the size a bit, those are HUGE.

Looks like you will have some work to do on that one, but then thats what makes it fun.
