What to do for leaf spring traction

      Are caltracs a bad thing?

I have Calvert split mono leaves, bilstein shocks, solid front spring eye bushings, and 315/35/17's.

Not if that's what you're after plus they will work great with the split mono's. I'd ditch the Bilstein's and get some AFCO adjustables and you're all set for straight line traction.

Im looking for good handling on the street with better traction for drag racing too. Its a street car but I know just the split monos arent going to cut it for traction.

Where is traction the issue? Under acceleration or cornering.

One problem with leaf springs is when you add traction for acceleration you increase wheel hop under braking.

Alot of older trans-am leaf spring cars even used an over-ride bar, kinda like the shelby under ride bars but on the top of the leaf spring. This reduces wheel hop for braking.

The calverts and slida link, supposedly do not impact the function of the spring under stopping. as they are only in contact with the spring only under accelleration.

The calverts are the most commonly used traction device for leaf spring drag cars. And the results are fantastic.
