      4L80e electronic connector?

      Is this normal?



      Because I can pull it out to here.



      So what keeps it out? The wiring harness connector doesn't seem to do it.

      Yup, they will do that. There's nothing on the inside holding them in place. The connector just "snaps" in place. FYI, if you happen to accidently push it all the way into the case, yoy have to remove the pan to put it back.... How do I know this you ask?

      After replacing the internal wiring harness I fully understand what you're saying. The tabs on the retainer clips were all broken off on the existing harness. The internal harness was about $50 at the local transmission supply shop.

      I had that same problem with the 4L60E in my truck. It leaked oil all over. I ended up with a new harness as well.
