No lead

When replacing quarters is there alternative to filling the void with lead like a metal patch or something. Im pretty sure it is too deep for bondo.

I'd go with the lead free body sodder. Eastwood makes a pretty good kit. That's what I'm planning on doing anyway. I agree, don't go the bondo route if you there are better choices out there. My two cents.

I use all metal or aluma lead it's a metal laced bondo. Works really well alot better than regular bondo.

That would be the same type stuff I was talking about just a different manufacturer.

we used all metal when i was in school. it might have just been old(everything else was) either be real real hard and not sand or it would crumble like it had old parts and such.
i wouldn't think that it would be like that if it was new.

are all of the ones you guys talk about similar to

It could have been because of the age. Another and more probable explanation would be either too little or to much hardener. Not enough and it will just clog up the paper and never seem to dry. I have heard about people putting too much hardener and making bondo brittle. I've never personally seen it though.

That had to be an age issue or improperly mixed. We use ALL METAL but METAL2METAL is the same.
