      New Guy from Georgia

      Hey everyone,

I'm Matt, I am 20 and am currently attending Georgia State University, and hopefully transferring to University of Georgia in the fall. I have a 72 El Camino that I am in the process of restoring/modding with my dad as a father son project (except for some reason I supply the cash?) It has been a blast so far though. This is my first venture over here from the Chevelle forums as I am doing some upgrades for my El Camino that seem to fall under the Pro Touring category. It is turning out to be a nicer build than I planned and I keep replacing more and more parts on it. It has a 350 small block with some mild mods and a th350. I have rally wheels on it that look decent but I really would like to go to a 17 or 18 inch. I'm here with open ears to learn about everything performance. suspension, engine, transmission, everything.

Anyways, I wont bore ya with it, heres a picture of where it is so far.

      Matt

Thanks for the welcomes guys this looks to be a pretty sweet forum. I like it already. Mark I read through that link. That looks sweet, but I don't know if the El Camino will be reliable by May. If it is maybe I can come up for one of the events. Hopefully it will atleast be back together.

Hey Matt, welcome. I'm in Alpharetta. Enjoy the time with your dad. I did the same when we built my Nova, which I still have. Now I have a son of my own (only 2 1/2), but I hope to carry on the tradition with him as he gets older. Good luck with the build. Everyone on this site is very knowledgeable so you should have no problems getting some good advice.
