I don't see any with stripes.
Maybe this is the pre-stripe lot.

I still think someone needs to come up with a conversion for my rendering when we first saw the concept car:

Wow Cad! That looks fantastic! The headlight/grill treatment really makes the car "pop"
I am not useless, I can still be used as a bad example!

I agree! I used to own a 69 Rally Sport and the grill was one of the coolest features. Maybe the aftermarket will step in, whataya say fellas?

I heard a rumor that Roush was getting involved with Camaro to do new fascias and such like they do for the Mustang.

Tony, is this some kind of opitcal illusion or is the new car just that much bigger?

Yes it's definitely bigger. Sign of the times. The industry as a whole as well as demands for a global architecture dictate the size of any car we produce. Back in the day Camaro answered to no one; it got it's own dedicated architecture and the Nova was the happy recipient. Today it's different; the Camaro must answer to the dominant Sedan Architecture of our global vehicles (which tend to be larger in size for a myriad of reasons). But for me that's a good thing. I was not a fan of the 4th gen cars. They were WAY too low slung and long. The new Camaro is bit taller and wider but I think the overall length is shorter (but I could be wrong).

I look at it this way....if you can love a '70 Chevelle than you can love the new Camaro.

All cars today are bigger, even the compacts. I drive an 80 Celica as a winter beater (and trust me, it's beat and the fenders are hanging on w/bailin' wire), and I look up to Cobalts. Not too many years ago, a target weight for a compact car might be 2000-2200 lbs- today, I'm guessing add 1000 lbs to that.

I was appalled when I scaled my 2-wd Explorer Sport- 4300 lbs w/ an empty tank. No wonder cars get such poor gas mileage in true city driving
