C-10 Spindles
I can't figure out whether this should be in the brakes or suspension thread. Here is my questions. I'm building a 49 Chevy pick up on an S-10 chassis. Big Block, 4-speed, 9" floater in the rear on truck arms. My questions are the front suspension. At first I was planning to do a B body spindle swap but it seems there are too many negatives. What about a C-10 spindle? They are front steer as well, decent sized brakes, and the 5x5 bolt pattern I need. The reason I'm thinking about that spindle is at the circle track I used to live near, a certain class had to run the truck spindle to keep from breaking. I'm pretty sure they where A bodies and G bodies in that class. I don't have any sitting here now to get measurements off of either. Does anyone have any thoughts?? Ideas? Can I get the AFX spindle with 5x5 bolt pattern?? Thanks. Jon
