Narrowed to go into what exactly ??

I ask that because what you have described... is narrowed... if you are talking about a first gen F/X-body. From your description... it is 7 inches narrowed from a OE housing dimention of 60". 7 inches would allow you to run a a 12" wheel with ease without any further modification to the width of your housing. That would put your backspacing around 8 to 8.25'ish... and give you a real deep dish.

Next question... will it work for you ?? I dont know, what is it that you are trying to accomplish ?? The 5/8" wheel studs are a little over kill and can make rim modifications necessary just to get them mounted to the axle. Other than the back brace making it a little more involved to get a G-Bar/G-Link mounted and its increased weight... it looks lke a solid set up for a high power drivetrain.

Is it worth the cash layout to you ?? If so... do it. I dont see any standout problems that would interfear... other than mounting the links to the housing with the back brace and all... but, that shouldnt be an issue really.

This is a drag race rear end. It sounds like you want to do auto cross or road racing. You don't need a drag race rear end for that. It will be more trouble than it is worth. You need a rear end that is built for what you want to do. The Detroit Locker is much better for drag racing than for road racing. You need a Trutrac for road racing or auto cross. You also need a housing that is built for your needs. When getting a custom rear end the first thing that you need to get are the wheels and tires. You put them under the car and measure the distance between the mounting flanges of the wheels. That will give you the total width of the rear end. Then you order the rear end to that width. My advice is to pass on this and get the right parts.

im a little confused so you say it will and will not work. im building a ls2 with a procharger with a t56/ maybe around 500-500 horsepower. I do wanna do the whole protouring idea. i wanna be able to drive the car 300 miles and still have no worries about anything. my buddy want 2000 for the set up, and i was hoping it would have worked out for me due to the price. but im wanting to get some forgeline rims the 18X12 335 mega tire in the rear, but if this rearend set up will cause problems i guess I will pass..

If you were building a drag or pro street car then this would work. It's not a pro touring rear end.

Sorry,, but it it is 1 1/2" to narrow, below the minumum for the G Bar. With a G Bar bar you are not going to ba able to put the perches on it, they will be on the housing ends. You will have to widen the rear to a minumum of 54 1/2" to be able to fit the brackets, and prevent brake to suspension issues.
