      small hole patch

i saw another member on here that had small holes in his floor and he used a liquid metal to patch them??? it was something like pd-15 or something! it was silver in color and he placed duct tape on the bottom of the hole and applied this to the top and it sealed the holes and made them solid! i have a few in my trunk that i wanna fix and i was wondering if anyone knew what the name was and where i can get it! or something like this that will work. thanks-dom

Have you thought about getting a hunk of copper to back it with and just welding it up?

if the holes are from rust the metal will be too thin to weld.

      ask me how I know.

If it's from rust he's going to have to grind away all corroded material prior to the proposed band-aid patch. If you are going that far you might as well cut out the cancer and patch it.

If the hole is from rust and you just por-15 it, it wont stop the rusting, and it will continue. I would patch it back with good steel. Hell, if you're going to do it, do it right!

well its in the trunk so i think im just going to replace the inner section because i found a coupe of spots that looked like they were on their last legs as it is. and i am installing a roll cage so i need the floors to be strong so in the long run it would definitely be worth it

If it's in the center section of the trunk floor, for no more than it would cost I would just buy a replacement section and replace the whole thing....
