GM accessory drive system on ls7 question

Im hoping I find someone who might have this GM performance part drive system P/N 19155167, or know of it. I would like to install it on my new LS7, and not sure if the altenator will fit a DSE subframe w/dse motor mount plates. The link below shows a pic of the set up, I know alot of you guys have used the ls7 and dse stuff, if anyone has some info to offer, Im very thankful. I just dont want to spend 2k on a drive system right now and this stuff is cheap and Ill bet it works just fine. No A/C car 1969 camaro.

Pace pictures are confusing, so I go by there discriptions, I'm running an 067 which is the same as you asked about minus the compressor. this is based off the C5 parts which put your alterantor high on the drivers side, the on your after is the 166/066 that fits like an F-body...and yes it will clear

notice the alternator sits higher than the balancer, it shouldnt come in contact with any part of the frame, I can not speak about there sway bar but it should fit..

      Strtlegal,

Thanks for the reply, I was starting to think Im the only one on the planet interested in using a gm acessory drive. Im curious how your P/S reservoir looks and routing for lines, any chance you could post some pics or email me. Ive been looking at the 067 and 066(just got the new gm catalog) but not sure which one will fit better either will be AC delete. Im also concerned about the reservoir and will need to route hydroboost to it. Are you using the stock reservoir, the pic is a block diagram in the catalog and it looks pretty far away from the steering pump.

      Thanks again Rich

B-man is dropping a LS3 into a 64 Tempest and using the stock GM accessory drive. The AC compressor sits too low, so he is using the brackets from KWIK Performance to locate it up higher. I think you would be fine using the stock GM accessory drive minus the compressor with the DSE sub-frame. Plus you can always add AC later with the KWIK brackets.

2x check that it will work with the LS7.

I think Bad Penny (LS2) uses the stock GM brackets too and he does not run AC either.

Thanks Rick- appreciate the pics. Looks like the 067 will do the job, perhaps if I can get a hold of Paul at Hydratech, I can find out if there are any issues hooking up a hydroboost to this type of PS set up. I believe the PS feed line has to go direct to the brake asist unit and I doubt very highly the reservior has dual return inlets(but that can be Tee'd). Getting the lines out of the bracket managery that the pump and reservoir are mounted in could be a challenge.

Yeah I can get some pics, I bought the a/c drive system but currently not running a/c, I will in the future but not now. I will post some pics. just an fyi I'm having to cut my GTO coil covers to fit around the alternator.

The gto and F-body didnt have this issue since the alternator is down low by the crank. Just an FYI
