Is there a size difference between the 66-67 cap and a 62-65. In other words ,will this cap fit in a 62?

The outside diameter of the cap is approximately 3 7/8" and tapers down to 3 9/16" and is approximately 1/4" thick.

The neck has a 2" OD and is 2.75" overall in height.

      Hey Darren,

Is there any way to space it so that it sits a little more flush to the quarter?

That is actually a great idea. Easy stuff with an extra gasket. We'll post up some pics shortly. Thanks!

I figgered this out before ridetech using an aluminum gas cap from a motorcycle.
Oh well, so much for being the first. :(

Ooops. It was an aviation gas cap. Here's a pdf if anyone is interested. Although, now I don't know why you would.

Did some measuring on a 65 and it appears that it will fit. So, this cap should fit on a cars from 62-65.
