My new STACK dash arrived from England today.. can't wait for the rest to get here since I've never had a analog tach that worked right. The digital one in my shift light did, but the other one was wacked.

I need to rebuild my center dash to accomodate the smaller gauges, but it needs to be a bit more sturdy anyways. It will be odd seeing my fuel level in gallons rather the the traditional "E-F" way although I could add a fuel gauge if it really bothered me.

I picked up the street version since I don't need data-logging (my racepack does that). I also have a set of the center gauges on the way along with a sequential shift light option.

I've been looking at that setup as well. Really nice package.

One thing I've yet to determine though is if the unit can get input directly from the EMC of if you have to use independent sensors? Can it plug directly into the OBD port?

I asked the same thing and my understanding was that it needed data from it's own sensors. After thinking about it I like this better since STACK uses better stuff than the factory. I was digging through the box last night and the components are very high-end.

Maybe Kris Carlson from Autometer can chime in on this topic.

From what I can tell wiring on this deal is pretty simple. All the ends use mil-spec stuff and are pre terminated. Mount the sensor and plug it in.

The sensors are also fairly small and compact. Not like the huge ones (especially the pressure senders) I'm used to dealing with.

I sent a not to Kris at Autometer so he could chime in on the technical aspects.

Yea, it's pretty small and will easily fit in a blank Covan's dash panel I have. I just need to figure out where to mount the sequential shift light.

I like the warning light feature when sensors get out of parameter. The other gauges do that as well.

There are four black switches used to control the dash.. you can see two of them in that picture right below the STACK unit.

Is the gas gauge calibrated in U.S. gallons or Imperial gallons?
