PT Fords? ? ?

I am considering building a PT Ford. I wanted some suggestions... I absolutly don't want to build a mustang. Other than that I am open to any Ford/Mercury from the 30's to the early 70's. I am leaning toward a '67 or so Fairlane, but would like to get some other ideas. Any one have a an idea for a Ford PT Beast???

May I suggest a route that I am taking now. I suggest an '81-82 Ford Granada/Mercury Cougar (sedan, NOT XR-7, although one could make a case for the coolness of that project as well). If you can't obtain one of these, then I would suggest a Fox-Body LTD/Marquis. In my opinion for what it's worth, you can't go wrong with either one of these!
These cars share essential mechanicals with the 5.0 Mustang. Most any hot hop-up that would fit a Mustang will also fit a Granada.
