I have a paddle shifter idea....

Don't know if this is possible or even worth the time and money but lets say someone has a th350 or th400 with a gear vendors. Would it be possible to come up with a way to paddle shift 6 gears.... my thinking is an electric solenoid to shift the tranny with a cpu that would take the paddle **** movement as follows: once your in first hit shifter engages gear vendors, hit again shifts tranny and disengages gear vendors at the same time and so on. I know Steve has probably already thought of this, but since its winter and my mind keeps wondering I'd thought I'd bring it up.

How's the install going anyways Frank? I did a Chrysler B-body install for a customer last summer and really had to massage the floorboards to get the damn thing to fit. Same issue with the Lemans?

The gear vendors is in bolted up. Driveshaft will be done today, x-pipe is close to the yoke and have to move the driveshaft loop. Tunnel mods were a lot more than I thought. Should have cut the floor. I beat on it for 2 hours and had to take the shim out of the trans mount from energy suspension to get it to fit. Had to file down a side casting of the gv cause it hit the floor brace. Plus after I beat the s#$@ out of the floor it looked like celulite. So I had to smooth it a little. I got it pretty good, not show car smooth but not hacker rough. I hope it does the job. Im hopefully going to have it all done Sunday if the exhaust fits. Wiring looks easy and I bought a b+m shifter handle with button.

Retrotek's paddle shifter did this and is not the same as doing it with an electronic tranny. Also no saftey features to keep from accidentally shift into the wrong gear. Bad idea. Gear vendors is just a bolt on gear splitter, has no effect on shift inputs in the tranny itself.
