It was a rough day driving all that automotive fun but someone had to take one for the team!!! I could only put a fraction of my thoughts into the alloted paragraph but suffice to say, I really liked this car! Being quite unfamiliar with this suspension, I was interested to see how it felt and was it compliant (it was ... very).

After the first autocross run (I got five and as it felt so good, could have taken another 50), an entertaining thought flitted past and I hoped Bret wouldn't notice that his Chevelle was headed towards the El Toro horizon and not coming back. Thoughts of Grand Theft Auto charges and the humiliation via print on Super Chevy brought me back to reality so I begrudgingly brought it back.

Bret and his air ride family can give more information about the system particulars but from a handling and SOTP feel, it's a 10!

      Cheers,

Thanks Mary...your check is in the mail!

The bigest hoot was driving the car all the way to El Toro [via Bonneville] and then driving it back after the event. We also hit the Kansas City Goodguys autocross on the way home for good measure. We put over 6000 miles on that car in little over 2 weeks last August.
I'm going to have the car bronzed when it finally dies!

BTW...the Chevelle will be at the Costa Mesa Goodguys autocross in March. I was going to bring Velocity but likely won't have the engine back in it by then [we freshened it up over the winter].
We'll be giving rides on the autocross...come and see us!
