      how is it that all these cars break world records and only stay in the 240s? the calaway sledgehammer has hit the 250s with john lingenfelter driving. how was that not a record?

      I think it's because it wasn't considered a "production" vehicle. It was a modified Corvette. I don't understand it either. The Sledgehammer went a documented 254 mph, from what I remember.

      yeah 254 or 256 i know it was up there and lingenfelter was driving. cant even remember where i read that.

      Its because the koeningsegg is a production vehiche and the sledgehammer is not (anone having pictures of the car please email the to me).
